Van Keisler is a Section Manager for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) in Columbia, South Carolina and has been with DHEC since 1989. His area of expertise is groundwater hydrogeology and environmental monitoring at solid waste facilities. He has also been extensively involved in permitting of facilities, as well as, development of several solid waste regulations. Since 2001, he has been an active member of the ITRC Alternative Landfill Technologies team. Van earned a bachelor's degree in geology from University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina in 1984. Van is a registered professional geologist in South Carolina.
