Chrystal Strickland is a Senior Environmental  Engineering Specialist for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management  (ADEM) located in Montgomery, Alabama. Chrystal has worked for the Governmental Hazardous Waste Branch since 2005. She is currently the state project manager at  the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) facility with responsibility for remediation of  munitions response sites including review of all investigation, remediation,  and quality assurance documents and participation as a member of the Project  Development Team for ANAD munitions response sites. Since 2008, Chrystal has been the hazardous  waste permit writer for ANAD specializing in Hazardous Waste Combustion and  Subpart X (Miscellaneous) Treatment Units. Chrystal has been participating with  EPA Region IV as a trainer for RCRA Permit Writers courses since 2015. Prior to ADEM she worked as an environmental  engineer and industrial hygienist in the paper industry. Since 2015, Chrystal has contributed to ITRC  as a team member for the Geophysical Classification for Munitions Response and  the Quality Considerations for Multiple Aspects of Munitions Response  teams. Chrystal earned a bachelor's  degree in chemical engineering from Mississippi State University in 1986
