Dan MichaelDan Michael was a Senior Environmental Decision Support Specialist, principal, and co-founder of Neptune and Company in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Since 1984, he has supported environmental decision making and data collection design, implementation and assessment.  He was part of the EPA team that developed the DQO process. Dan facilitates systematic project planning and design including development of DQOs and statistical sampling plans, and manages data analysis and interpretation in support of environmental decision making. His work has been applied extensively to evaluation of remedial alternatives and the scoping and conduct of ecological risk assessments at sites with contaminated sediments. Dan has been a member of the ITRC Contaminated Sediments - Remediation since 2011. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Alfred University in Alfred NY in 1977 and a master’s degree in Environmental Biology from Ohio State University in Columbus, OH in 1982.
