Jan Dunker is a chemist with the Environmental & Munitions Center of Expertise (EM CX) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Omaha, NE. Jan has worked for the EM CX since 1992, and has been involved with providing technical consultation, teaching, review of environmental restoration-related documents, and preparation of guidance relevant to chemistry aspects of environmental projects. From 1989 to 1992 Jan was involved with data review and assessment at the Missouri River Division Laboratory of the USACE. Jan routinely presents at conferences, and prior to joining the Corps of Engineers had taught chemistry courses at several colleges and universities. Since 2009, Jan has been an active team member of the ITRC Incremental Sampling Methodology team. Jan earned a bachelor’s degree. in chemistry from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City, South Dakota in 1971 and a doctoral degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa in 1981.
