Kurt Frantzen Kurt Frantzen , Ph.D., CHMM, was a Senior Program Manager/Principal Professional with Kleinfelder in Windsor, Connecticut, and worked for Kleinfelder from 2006 to 2011. He serves clients by interfacing science, engineering, and planning to resolve complex property contamination matters. A biochemist by training, he has over twenty years of experience in environmental risk analysis, hazardous waste site/Brownfields investigation/remediation, environmental R&D, and project management. He is a member of the ITRC Risk Assessment Resources team. Kurt earned a bachelor's degree in (Biology) from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1978, a master's degree in plant pathology from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas in 1980, and a doctoral degree in life sciences/biochemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1985. He is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
