I learned how historical research is conducted and what I can expect to see in a Munitions Response Historical Records Review Plan
I learned how the Army Corps of Engineers differs from that of the Navy and Air Force in their mission and approach to planning and conducting historical research
I learned how various types of Munitions of Explosive Concern (MEC) contamination are documented for site characterization
I learned how the Department of Defense plans MR HRR projects and how to use this knowledge when reviewing and evaluating MR HRR plans
I learned that unexpected discoveries are common on MEC projects and that MR HRR is an important part of minimizing their negative impact on the overall project
I learned that the accepted concepts of developing Data Quality Objectives and a Conceptual Site Model (CSM) are now being applied to MEC projects and that these concepts are also applied to MR HRR
