Nancy has been an On-Scene Coordinator (OSC) in Region 6 for 13 years and did RCRA inspections and enforcement for 3 years prior to that. She has worked on numerous removal actions, oil and hazardous waste emergencies and disaster responses including the Capitol Hill Anthrax response, Columbia Shuttle, Hurricane Katrina, Rita, Gustav, Ike, and the Deepwater Horizon response. She served in many roles during the Katrina response including Debris Coordinator. Since then she has trained 6 Response Support Corps members in Region 6 to be Debris Coordinators. She has participated in many national and inter agency work groups such as the Emergency Response Technical Work Group, OSC Task Force, OSC Readiness Training Board, and the Contaminated Debris Inter agency Working Group in an effort to make EPA's response more efficient and coordinated with other agencies.
