After earning a BA in Natural Sciences from Johns Hopkins University, Mitch spent several years working in the data communications field in Alaska. Upon returning to the 'lower 48', Mitch earned a Ph.D. in Biology from Johns Hopkins, and subsequently spent six years performing bioinformatics-based research in support of drug discovery at the Schering-Plough Research Institute in New Jersey. Mitch joined the Ecological Exposure Research Division of ORD in Cincinnati two years ago, in order to pursue his long-standing interest in computational approaches to diagnostic toxicology and his commitment to ecological protection.
