Kristin McClellan is a 5th-year Environmental Engineering doctoral student in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University. She has several years of hands-on experience in remediation feasibility studies in both lab and field. For the past four years she has been working on an advanced in situ testing device for improved decision-making and remedial design. Prior to her doctoral work Kristin studied biotechnology and environmental analytical chemistry at the Technical University Freiberg in Germany. She has also worked on ecotoxicological effects of anthropogenic pollutants in the Department of Bioanalytical Ecotoxicology at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig, Germany. Kristin has authored 5 peer-reviewed papers and contributed over 30 papers at national and international conferences, the majority of them on in situ remediation.
