Chris MillerChris Miller is a Plants Materials Specialist at USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Cape May Court House, New Jersey. He has a B.S. in Agronomy from the Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. Plant Science, South Dakota State University. He has worked at USDA-NRCS since 1990 and serves as a plant science consultant to NRCS state and field offices in 8 Northeastern states. He primarily makes recommendations for stabilizing disturbed and eroding areas such as dunes, tidal shorelines, streambanks, sanitary landfills, sand/gravel pits, etc. using native plant materials and innovative planting techniques. Chris has also taught several training courses including those on landscape restoration; streambank Restoration; identification of grasses, sedges, and rushes for wetland delineation among others.
