Dawn Banks-Waller is a members of EPA's Quality Staff (QS) in the Office of Environmental Information. She serves as the Quality Assurance Manager for the Quality Staff which Involves the development and management of documents and records for projects, contracts, and other business areas that support the Agency's mission, strategic goals, programs and policy objectives, and/or annual performance plan and budget priorities. She is responsible for ensuring that products and services developed and disseminated within Quality Staff are grammatically correct, clear, concise, and accurate and reflect established Federal, Agency and QS policy and procedures. Dawn also leads or participates in Agency-wide Quality System Assessments intended to determine how well each program is doing with the implementation of their Quality Management Plan and how well they comply with the Agency-wide Quality System.

Prior to joining the Quality Staff, Dawn served as the Data Standards development and implementation lead in the Office of Information Collection (OIC). There she worked closely with Exchange Network partners (states and tribes) and EPA program offices to develop Agency- wide data standards ; standards are documented agreements on the representation, format, and definition of data that are shared by organizations. Implementing data standards improves the quality of EPA's data and enhances the Agency's ability to exchange data with partner States and Tribes. She also was responsible for tracking Federal Management Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA) data standards implementation Agency weakness, ensuring that all corrective actions are completed and milestones are met.

Dawn has worked in several program offices (Office of Pesticides, Office of Enforcement and Compliance, Office of Air and Radiation) across the Agency in numerous capacities.

Dawn has BS in Biology from Hampton University and is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
