Michael Bender is an Environmental Engineer at EPA in Washington DC, he is responsible for supporting the division in performing its mission, which is to stimulate the research community to provide high quality, innovative ideas and solutions to protect human health and the environment. This requires playing a major roll in planning, reviewing, and coordinating a comprehensive Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Primary emphasis focuses on formulating plans to insure that research is responsive to program objectives, and provide decisions, conclusions and recommendations on the research goals of the program. Mr. Bender holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban Systems Engineering and a Masters Degree in Urban Systems Engineering Management from George Mason University in Virginia.
