Adam Boettner is manager of the Southwest Region Enterprise Remediation Group at The Boeing Company, the world's largest aerospace company. He is responsible for managing a portfolio of complex remediation projects in the Southwest and Midwest United States, and Australia. Starting in 2008, Boettner led the cleanup activities at the Chemical Commodities, Inc. Superfund Site in Olathe, Kansas. The remediation project team has worked closely with a diverse group of stakeholders including the local Citizens Advisory Group, EPA Region 7, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and the non-profit organizations Pollinator Partnership and Monarch Watch, to develop a site reuse plan consisting of a pollinator habitat and educational kiosks. The project was recognized by EPA Region 7 and awarded the Leading Environmentalism and Forwarding Sustainability (LEAFS) award in 2012.
