Ms. Sandra A. Bourgeois is a Senior Superfund Remedial Project Manager for EPA Region 8 in Denver, Colorado. She has worked for the EPA Region 8 Office for almost 24 years primarily in the Federal Facilities Program. Ms. Bourgeois has experience in all aspects of the Superfund Program from "Site Assessment" to Technology Transfer" to the "Federal Facilities Docket". However, her primary responsibility has been leading the cleanup of Federal NPL sites in Utah and Colorado which includes sites such as Hill AFB; Defense Depot Ogden, Utah; and the Air Force Plant PJKS. Ms. Bourgeois recently completed a special assignment for the Federal Facilities Restoration and Reuse Office (FFRRO) at EPA HQs. The Association of State and Territorial Solid Waste Management Officials (ASTSWMO), EPA Region 5 liaison, green remediation, and the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program were some of the many efforts she was tasked to coordinate for FFRRO. Ms. Bourgeois is currently serving a two year term as one of EPA's National Association of Remedial Project Managers (NARPM) Co-Chairs charged with providing a yearly training program for EPA's Superfund remedial project managers.
Throughout her career at EPA she has successfully completed two Leadership Development Programs: U.S. Office of Personnel Management's Executive Leadership Program (ELP) and the University of Denver's Regional Institute for Health and Environmental Leadership (RIHEL). Ms. Bourgeois holds a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.
