George M. Brilis is the QA Manager for the EPA/ORD National Exposure Research Laboratory's (NERL) Environmental Sciences Division. In addition, Mr. Brilis performs numerous collateral positions, including but not limited to:

• Founder and Chairperson of the EPA Geospatial Quality Council (GQC); and
• NERL Environmental Justice Coordinator.

Mr. Brilis earned degrees in numerous disciplines, including:

Chemistry;
• Computing and Information Technology with an emphasis in Remote Sensing/GIS;
• Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Law Enforcement;
• An M.B.A, and a;
• Juris Doctor.

He has received more than 30 EPA awards, including two EPA Silver Medals. One for:

• Developing and implementing a highly effective QA program for Superfund activities;
• and another for his:
• Leadership, collaboration, and talent to institute the National Geospatial Program that optimizes EPA's geospatial capabilities to support EPA's core business.

A prolific writer, Mr. Brilis has received four Scientific and Technological Achievement Awards (STAA) for his publications. He has performed more than 80 presentations, and conceived, developed and led numerous workshops, symposiums and exemplified the role of session manager.

In addition to performing his primary and collateral duties, Mr. Brilis, as a QA Scientist, is currently focusing his efforts towards improving Scientific Integrity throughout the EPA.
