Chang Yul Cha Dr. Cha received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Davis. He is the company’s founder and president and also a Professor Emeritus of the University of Wyoming. Dr. Cha has 20 years of industrial experience in scientific research, process development, and project management. Dr. Cha is an active researcher. He has authored over 100 publications in oil shale, air pollution control, transport phenomena, corrosion, and chemical reaction kinetics.

Dr. Cha founded CHA Corporation in 1989 after receiving his first SBIR Phase 1 grant. Since its foundation the company has completed a number of projects funded by both the government and private industry. CHA Corporation is currently building a prototype microwave system for destroying hydrocarbons and chemical and biological warfare agents in water produced from washing military vehicles at combat zones. During the summer of 2005, the prototype microwave system was demonstrated at Camp Guernsey and the Wyoming Army National Guard base in Cheyenne. Since the formation of the company, CHA Corporation has focused almost exclusively on the research and development of this new technology.
