Mr. Chapman is a graduate of Clemson University. He began his career in the world of petroleum investigations and cleanups in 1990 at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC). In 1993, he was hired by the Remediation Program in the Northern Regional Office of the Virginia DEQ. Since 1990, approximately 6700 confirmed petroleum releases have been reported to the Northern Regional Office. Regional case managers handle numerous investigations, corrective actions, and reimbursements utilizing a risk based approach. When applicable, these investigations and cleanups may be incorporated into a Brownfield redevelopment strategy. Currently, Mr. Chapman is the case manager for over 100 open cases.
