Dr. Daniel Elliott is an environmental engineer with 20 years of professional experience in industry, consulting, and academia. He holds degrees in chemistry, environmental sciences and engineering, and environmental engineering from Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, NY), The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA). He spent 12 years working for two multi-national Fortune 500 manufacturing firms in both site and corporate environmental affairs roles, managing due diligence, multi-media compliance, permitting, auditing, and remediation projects. He did his Ph.D. work at Lehigh University under Dr. Wei-xian Zhang, one of the nZVI pioneers, and implemented the first field demonstration of the technology in 2000. Over the past decade, Dr. Elliott has continued to work with the nZVI technology and has published and spoken on the topic in multiple forums. He is presently the Environmental Affairs Manager at UNC-Chapel Hill and a part-time consultant with Geosyntec Consultants attached to their Ewing, NJ office.
