Dr. Jim FieldDr. Jim Field received his BS and MS at Virginia Tech in 1981 and 1983, respectively from the Deaprtment of Agronomy. In 1989 he received his PhD from Wageningen University (The Netherlands) from the Department of Environmental Technology. From 1989 to 1991 he was a post-doc at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Autonomous University of Barcelona. From 1991 to 2000 he was an assistant professor at Wageningen University in dual position involving the Departments of Environmental Technology and Industrial Microbiology. In 2001 Dr. Jim Field became an associate professor at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, at the University of Arizona. In 2004 he was promoted to Full Professor. Dr. Field conducts research on the biotransformation of environmental pollutants under anaerobic conditions. He has authored and coauthored over 160 peer reviewed publications.
