Mary GaleaMary is the Director of the Great Lakes Regional Office and Plant Ecologist for the Pollinator Partnership. She develops planting recommendations for pollinator habitat, conducts plant-pollinator interaction research, and provides support for Canadian pollinator habitat activities. Mary manages the U.S. Bee Buffer Program and Monarch Wings Across Ohio from P2's Great Lakes Regional Office based in Chicago, Illinois. Before joining P2 in 2010, Mary was the National Collections Curator for the native seed collection program, Seeds of Success, a 2010 recipient of the Secretary of the Interior's Partners in Conversation Award. She has also worked at the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington, DC and has participated in international woody landscape plant germplasam collection efforts with USDA. Mary has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Kent State University and a Masters of Natural Resources from the University of Idaho.
