Ms. Shirley Gee is a Staff Research Associate in the Department of Entomology at the University of California, Davis. She obtained her Master's Degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from UC Davis and has conducted research at both UCD and SRI International in Menlo Park, CA in comparative metabolism. In the last 15 years she has worked with Dr. Bruce Hammock to develop an internationally recognized research program in the development and implementation of immunochemical methods for small molecule analysis in environmental and biological samples. Ms. Gee is a co-investigator in this research area for the UCDavis Superfund Program and works in collaboration with Ian Kennedy in Engineering on development of biosensors and Michael Denison of Environmental Toxicology on analysis of TCDD.
