Bill Hagel As the Region 3 Superfund and Technology Liaison, Mr. Hagel serves as a senior technical liaison between the Region and the EPA Office of Research and Development (ORD). He reviews technical documents to ensure consistency with ORD science and engineering. He is a senior advisor to regional and headquarters management, working to plan and develop requests for technical assistance and practical research. Mr. Hagel communicates with ORDŐs Technical Support Centers and advises ORD Research Coordination Teams on scientific and/or engineering issues that cross laboratory or regional/OSWER boundaries. He also facilitates site-specific technical assistance activities with ORD scientists, other federal agencies, and academic researchers to promote efficient use of resources, and to ensure that the highest quality scientific and engineering expertise is provided to Region 3.

In his first tour of duty with EPA (1980 - 1991) Mr. Hagel was a Section Chief and a Remedial Project Manager in the Region 3 Superfund Program. Prior to re-joining EPA in 2007, Mr. Hagel worked as the EPA Business Strategy Leader for CDM, was an Associate Vice-President for AECOM, and the Philadelphia Regional Manager for Tetra Tech EM Inc.
