Jan for the past 10 years has been the Director of the Massachusetts Bays National Estuary Program, which covers the coastal waters and associated habitats from the tip of Cape Cod to the New Hampshire/Massachusetts border. He works on scientific projects and related regulatory development efforts, and is working to create a Rapid Assessment Method for evaluating coastal wetland systems.
