Katie Brown joined the EPA's RE-Powering America’s Land initiative team through a AAAS Science and Technology fellowship in September 2011. Prior to this fellowship, Ms. Brown worked in the solar industry, leading cross-functional product development teams for the design and deployment of photovoltaic system products for residential, commercial, and utility applications. Ms. Brown began her career at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, performing photovoltaic research and later as a technical monitoring on government-industry partnerships. Ms. Brown holds a Master of Science in Engineering & Technology Management and Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics from Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO.
