Kevin Murray, a Partner with Holland & Hart LLP, has more than thirty years' experience as an environment, energy, and natural resources attorney focused on contaminated property and water issues. His work includes all facets of remediation, compliance, permitting, mergers and acquisitions, land development, and property reuse, especially as these issues relate to current and historic mining, petroleum, and manufacturing industries. Mr. Murray's experience with CERCLA and RCRA liability includes brownfields development, and the acquisition, remediation, and redevelopment of contaminated property. He was the strategist behind the highly innovative and successful Midvale Slag Site, which recently was deleted from the EPA's National Priorities List of Superfund Sites 50 years ahead of schedule. Known for innovative and unique CERCLA resolutions, Mr. Murray was one of the first individuals to use the Environmentally Responsible Redevelopment and Reuse program for site remediation. He played a key role in the Richardson Flats remediation, which was recognized by the Department of the Interior as the site of the year for its effective combination of Natural Resource Damages restoration and CERCLA remediation.
