Raye Lahti obtained a B.A. Degree in Environmental Studies from Northland College, and a B.S. degree in Applied Geophysics from Michigan Technological University. Raye began his professional career in mineral exploration leading into environmental geophysics in 1985. He has worked on municipal, DoD, DoE and private client sites. Objectives range from landfill delineation using electrical, magnetic, electromagnetic and seismic techniques, delineation of saltwater intrusion into coastal aquifers, delineation of underground storage tanks for military base-wide investigations, and detection of unexploded ordnance. Currently Mr. Lahti is project geophysicist at the Massachusetts Military Reservation, managing geophysical surveys over the 14,000 acre installation. Mr. Lahti has worked on projects in more than 35 states, and several foreign countries.
