Lindell Ormsbee, Ph.D., is the Raymond-Blythe Professor of civil engineering at the University of Kentucky and the associate director of the University of Kentucky Superfund Research Center. Dr. Ormsbee's past research efforts have focused on the application of systems analysis methods to complex problems in water resources and environmental systems with a more recent focus on the development of remediation strategies for chlorinated organic compounds in groundwater. He has over 20 years experience working on technical and remediation issues associated with Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP) - Kentucky's largest Superfund site. From 2003 to 2009 he served as the director of the Kentucky Research Consortium for Energy and Environment which focused on a range of issues associated with the PGDP.
