Steve Mow is a remedial project manager in the Site Discovery, Assessment and Remediation Section. A chemist by training, Steve came to DOH from the City and County of Honolulu in 2004, to oversee investigation and cleanup activities at Air Force installations. In 2007, he took over leadership of the DSMOA program, establishing a team to provide consistent oversight for Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps sites, as well as Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS). Since that time, he has trained multiple RPMs, passing on fiscal management and leadership responsibilities to others. Over the past three years, Steve has focused his efforts on UXO risk management and remediation, HEER Office IT system design, complex remediation such as Honolulu Harbor and innovative area-wide approaches to managing historic contamination.
