Mr. Mullins retired from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with over 31 years of service. Mr. Mullins area of expertise is hazardous waste and the Superfund program. Mr. Mullins has instructed various Superfund courses for the past 11 years. Mr. Mullins retired from Federal Service in 2008 with more than 31 years of experience. Approximately 5 years of environmental work for the U.S. Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), followed by over 25 years working for U.S. EPA. At EPA, Mr. Mullins worked all but about one year in the Superfund Program. During the first six years at EPA, Mr. Mullins functioned in a technical role as an On-Scene Coordinator (OSC) and the balance of that experience was as a first line manager in the EPA Region 6 Emergency Response Program, Dallas, Texas. In this capacity, Mr. Mullins supervised OSCs and other Emergency Response Personnel.
Over the last 15 years, Mr. Mullins had a collateral duty as an instructor for various Superfund training courses training in Safety, EPA Program Operations, Environmental Statutes, and Incident Command System (ICS). For about 18 years, Mr. Mullins was Chief of Region 6 Oil Operations Emergency Response Section
Mr. Mullins has served on a variety of National and Regional workgroups, which advise EPA HQ on various policy formulations. Mr. Mullins currently works for Tetra Tech, Inc. as an instructor and subject matter expert.
