Dr. Fred Payne is Senior Vice President and Director, Technology Development at ARCADIS. Fred has more than 30 years experience in contaminated site characterization and restoration. He is co-author of In Situ Remediation Engineering (CRC, 2005) with Suthan Suthersan, and is lead author, with Joe Quinnan and Scott Potter, of Remediation Hydraulics (CRC, 2008). He is a member of the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council’s BioDNAPL, Integrated DNAPL Site Strategy and DNAPL Site Characterization teams (www.ITRCWeb.org) and is a trainer for the Integrated DNAPL Site Strategy and Mass Flux guidance developed by those teams. Fred is also a faculty affiliate of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University and works in close collaboration with the research team at the Center for Contaminant Hydrology.
