Doug, a member of BASF's remediation team for over 18 years, where he is leads the corporate Sustainable Remediation program. Doug has worked in environmental remediation for nearly 30 years. He has a Masters degree in Geology from Northeast Louisiana University. Doug is an adjunct professor at Stony Brook University, where he is a co-founder of the Institute of Sustainable Development. He is a leader in the use of sustainable development principles in remediation. His initiatives have led to development of award winning wildlife habitat and ecologically educational programs. Most recently, he has been using the concepts of sustainable development to improve the efficiency of environmental, social, and economic recovery of urban river restoration.
