Mr. Swanson has been with the Hazardous Materials Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment since 1993 and engaged in munitions response projects since 1995. He is the Department's staff authority on unexploded ordnance (UXO) site characterization and remediation, and manages several munitions response projects, including the former Lowry Bombing and Gunnery Range and Camp Hale FUDS projects. Mr. Swanson serves on numerous national technical and policy advisory groups on key munitions response issues. He is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines with a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering, and an MBA from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business.
