Marc Thomas has worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since 2005. He currently works in EPA's Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, Center for Program Analysis in Washington, D.C. Most of his career has been spent in EPA's Office of Resource Conservation and Recovery, where he worked with the RCRA corrective action program, including efforts to identify and promote the use of greener cleanup practices as part of site cleanups. Mr. Thomas joined EPA's RE-Powering America's Land Initiative in January 2013. The RE-Powering Initiative, which was founded in 2008, encourages renewable energy development on current and formerly contaminated lands, landfills, and mine sites when it is aligned with the community's vision for the site.
