Ann VegaMs. Vega has a BS degree in mathematics from Xavier University and an MS degree in environmental science from the University of Cincinnati. She has worked at the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) in the Office of Research and Development (ORD) since 1989. Ms. Vega is currently the National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL) Revitalization Research Program Manager and manages research related to revitalization of potentially contaminated sites. Specifically, she is leading the development of a decision analysis tool that will enable stakeholders to systematically analyze the complex trade-offs of revitalization thus enhancing the quality of revitalization decisions. Ms. Vega participates on the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC) Brownfields Team. She leads the ORD Sustainable Land Recycling Team and is the EPA Program Manager for the US-German Bilateral Working Group. Prior to becoming involved in brownfields and revitalization, Ms. Vega was the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) for a division within NRMRL. In addition to reviewing QA project plans, performing quality audits, and reviewing division products, she participated on several Agency workgroups to enhance the quality of science within EPA.
