Sponsored by: U.S. EPA Office of Research and Development and U.S. EPA Office of Brownfields Cleanup and Redevelopment
Original Time/Date of Presentation:

October 3, 2006, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, EDT (19:00-21:00 GMT)

Presentation Overview:

SMARTe is a web-based decision support tool that is being cooperatively developed by EPA, the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC), and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It is being developed to allow stakeholders to evaluate alternative reuse options for a potentially contaminated site or area. SMARTe integrates the complexities of environmental, social and economic issues in a multi-criteria decision analysis framework. SMARTe is being developed in a phased approach so that some information/tools are available now - prior to completion of the overall decision support tool. This presentation will provide an introduction to SMARTe and then an interactive demonstration with the instructor guiding the users through the SMARTe website.
