EPA's Non-Targeted Analysis Collaborative Trial (ENTACT) Workshop
08/13/2018 - 08/15/2018
Research Triangle Park, NC
In August 2015, EPA held its first non-targeted analysis (NTA) workshop. After a half-day discussion at the 2015 workshop, EPA's Non-Targeted Analysis Collaborative Trial (ENTACT) was born. As a brief update, we have enrolled nearly 30 participants to analyze 10 ToxCast mixtures and 6 exposure media samples (serum, house dust, and silicone bands). Each lab is using their own NTA methods in both a blinded and unblinded fashion. To date, 15 labs have returned their blinded analyses and 7 have completed a review of the data after being unblinded. Additionally, 5 vendors and 2 other labs have received the entire ToxCast chemical library so that mass spectra can be collected and stored in a variety of commercial and publicly available libraries for use by the NTA community. We are hosting a follow-up workshop August 13-15, 2018 in RTP, to discuss the results from ENTACT, new data analysis tools, and next steps. There will be both in-person and webinar options available. The workshop website is the best place to see the call for abstracts, register (coming soon), and learn more as the agenda is developed and speakers are selected.
