The work will consist of removal of asbestos-containing floor tile and mastic at the Holt House at Capitol Reef National Park. Holt House has a main floor that is approximately 1000 SF. The floor tile to be removed is a double layer of floor tile and mastic that covers approximately 320 square feet. The building is used for storage at this time. All stored items will be removed from work area prior to contract work by NPS staff. The objective of this project is to remove the identified asbestos-containing material that exists inside the building prior to planned renovation work. NAICS: 541380. This notice constitutes market research only to identify interested vendors for a potential requirement. The Government will review the responses received to determine the type of set-aside (if any) for this requirement, should it come to fruition. The NAICS code is 541380 (Testing Laboratories), small business size standard $15M. The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for chemical analysis services of environmental (water, solid, air, and biological) samples for organic and inorganic constituents and geotechnical analyses of solid (sediment, sludge, and soil) using U.S. EPA analytical methods and other published analytical methods such as Standard Methods and ASTM methods. Legally defensible data meeting strict quality control standards are required. Analytical services may be needed for chemical and geotechnical analyses of environmental samples collected by the USGS for other regulatory-type projects requiring EPA or similar published, standardized analytical methods and well-documented analytical and quality control results. The majority of samples to be analyzed for the USGS projects will be aqueous (water) samples collected mostly from surface sources with some groundwater, sediment, and tissue samples. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation, and supervision necessary to provide emergency cleaning and restorative services in the aftermath of a weather event, the consequence of failing infrastructure, or any unforeseen event requiring immediate services to mitigate harm to government property or threats to human health. Service shall be provided on an as-needed, 24-hour emergency availability basis at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
