EPA is calling for small businesses to apply for Phase I awards for up to $100,000 to demonstrate proof of concept in one of the SBIR solicitation topic areas. Successful Phase I awardees are eligible to receive Phase II funding, up to $300,000 for two years, through an additional application process. NAICS: 238910. The purpose of this sources-sought notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The U.S. Department of Interior, National Park Service is contemplating the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for destruction of 15 abandoned wells in Yosemite National Park. The work will be located throughout multiple locations of the park in El Portal, Foresta, Wawona, and Crane Flat district. The work will consist of obtaining Mariposa County Environmental Health permits, applicable State permits, and performing underground utility location clearance prior to any ground-disturbing activities, such as drilling. The contractor will remove and properly dispose of as specified all pumps, piping, conduits, screens, etc. associated with each well and other debris from the well casing. The Contractor shall take ownership and responsibility for the removal and disposal of all existing equipment, debris, etc. from each site, and all associated spoilage produced from the destruction of all wells. This includes disassembling the system equipment and related components, sorting the different waste streams, and hauling all waste materials off site for proper disposal, or recycling if practical. Properly dispose of all nonhazardous materials at a licensed facility. Waste materials classified by the Contractor as hazardous must be manifested, transported, and disposed of at an approved hazardous waste facility. Some minimal site cleanup is required to remove old piping and miscellaneous equipment associated with each well site. The Contractor shall perform all well destruction activities in compliance with California State Well Standards Bulletins 74-81 and 74-90. Destruction of the wells is to be performed under the supervision and guidance of a licensed C57 well driller.
