Since 2003, the Department of Transportation for Alberta, Canada, has used portable units for harnessing solar energy to generate electricity for driving remediation systems at several sites in western Canada. Trailer-mounted solar units can be easily transferred to meet changing onsite needs or relocated to other sites after short deployment.
