This paper describes the potential benefits of multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) to the environmental remediation industry, the factors that may limit its use in this industry, and the MCDA process in general. The MCDA process description includes recommended practices for including stakeholder values and objectives and for performing stochastic MCDA.
