Fractured Rock: State of the Science and Measuring Success in Remediation Published 2005
The objective of this 22 page paper is to summarize the results of the 2004 fractured bedrock conference, held in Portland, ME, with respect to what has been learned about the remediation of contaminated ground water in fractured bedrock since 2001 and what the future holds. Specifically, the paper discusses the adequacy of characterization methods, the use of remediation technologies, the understanding of hydraulic processes in fractured rock and research needs. The document was submitted to USEPA from the National Ground Water Association.
