Marjorie E. Bedessem holds a doctorate in Civil Engineering (University of Wyoming) and undergraduate degrees in both Civil Engineering (University of Maine) and Biological Sciences (University of Michigan). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at the University of Wyoming and Chairman of the Graduate Program in Environmental Engineering. A professional engineer since 1987, Dr. Bedessem's past experience includes both state regulatory positions and over ten years in environmental consulting. Her current research focuses on engineered bioremediation of organic environmental contaminants and application of biological treatment systems for groundwater impact mitigation. Her laboratory provides environmental microbiology support services for bioremediation monitoring.
