Walter Eifert

Mr. Eifert is a Principal Hydrologist and Wetlands Specialist with Roux Associates, Inc. He holds a B.S. in Aquatic Biology and an M.S. in Water Resources Management from the University of Wyoming. Mr. Eifert has 20 years of experience in the application of constructed wetlands and phytotechnologies for wastewater treatment and site remediation. For the past 10 years, Mr. Eifert has led the development of Roux Associates’ constructed wetlands and phyto practices and has been awarded a U.S. Patent for an enhanced subsurface flow constructed wetlands treatment system design. Mr. Eifert has designed passive constructed wetlands/phyto treatment systems at facilities owned by ExxonMobil, BASF Corporation, Norfolk Southern, Alcoa and DuPont.


Kevin Kitzman

Kevin Kitzman, P.E., received his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University. From 1991 through 1999 he was an environmental engineer at Alcoa’s Massena Operations, which is a large integrated aluminum smelting and fabricated products plant in Massena N.Y. In 1998 he received his M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and since 1999 he has worked at the Alcoa Technical Center located outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He now works at various plant, business unit and corporate levels to identify and implement strategic improvements in environmental performance. He has published papers in environmental cost accounting and in reducing air emissions from aluminum fluxing processes.
