Terry McIntyre

Terry McIntyre is the Chief of the Environmental Biotechnology Applications Division of the Technology and Industry Branch - Environment Canada. For the past 25 years, he has held a series of senior management positions in academia and government that address a range of regulatory, scientific, biodiversity, economic, and technical issues associated with applied environmental biotechnology. He holds undergraduate degrees in economics (BA 1973) and environmental sciences (BESC. 1977), a Masters Degree in soil science (MSc. 1979), and a doctorate in environmental biology (Ph.D. 1990) and is the author of over 275 articles and technical presentations and seven book chapters. Terry has also worked extensively on environmental biotechnology demonstration projects across North and South America, Eastern Europe, China, Indonesia, and India. He is currently the program manager of the Environmental and Industrial Applications of Plants Program for Environment Canada
