Brett H. Robinson has a Ph.D. in soil science from Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand. As part of his Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship, Brett worked at the Université de Lille, France on the phytoremediation of contaminated soils. In 2000 he traveled to Spain on an OECD fellowship to work at the Instituto de Recursos Naturals y Agrobiología de Sevilla on the rehabilitation of land affected by the tailings spill that followed the 1998 dam failure at Aznalcóllar. For the past five years, Brett has been leading the phytoremediation program at Hort Research, Palmerston North New Zealand.
