Ross del Rosario

Ross del Rosario has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Business Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology (Class of 1982). He holds an Engineering in Training (EIT) certificate from the State of Illinois. Prior to joining U.S. EPA=s Region 5 office in 1985, Mr. del Rosario worked for an environmental consulting firm (Gabriel Laboratories) in Chicago, Illinois for about 3 years. As an environmental engineer at U.S. EPA, Mr. del Rosario worked on the NPDES permitting and enforcement programs (1985-1993), wrote RCRA hazardous permits (1993-1996) and is currently functioning as a remedial project manager (RPM) in the Superfund Program, overseeing the cleanup of a handful of Superfund sites assigned to him. In his current capacity as RPM, Mr. del Rosario has been involved with numerous technologies in use at various Superfund sites, including phytoremediation. He has taken various courses on this subject over the past 5+ and has participated in many discussions on the merits of using this technology at different Superfund sites.
