Penelope McDaniel is an Environmental Scientist from the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response in Washington, D.C. She recently joined EPA's Headquarters office from the Pacific Southwest Regional Office in San Francisco, CA, where she was a Superfund Project Manager, responsible for leading and overseeing environmental remediation efforts at several National Priority List (NPL) sites in CA. In addition, Penelope led the development of the Cleanup - Clean Air Initiative, a Regional initiative with an overall goal to encourage, facilitate, and support diesel emissions and greenhouse gas reduction technologies and practices at Superfund cleanup and redevelopment sites. Penelope has also spent time in the EPA's Air Division, working on voluntary measures related to diesel emissions reductions, under the framework of the National Clean Diesel Campaign.

Penelope has been with the USEPA for over 10 years, and holds a Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Science, and a Master's of Science in Environmental Management Systems from the University of San Francisco.
