Dr. Bor-Jier Shiau is Director of Surfactant Technology at Surbec-ART Environmental, LLC. Dr. Shiau has more than ten years research experience in designing groundwater remediation systems. He designed surfactant systems for several field demonstrations of surfactant enhanced subsurface remediation (SESR) at DOD sites (Hill AFB, NAVY Alameda Point, McClellan AFB, Tinker AFB), and industrial or UST sites (Wyoming, MI, Golden, OK). Dr. Shiau’s research interest also includes in-situ chemical oxidation and the permeable reactive barriers (PRBs) system for treating organic and inorganic contaminants. Dr. Shiau has co-authored fifteen refereed journal articles and over forty conference presentations/seminars.
