Robert Cowdery

Robert Cowdery, P.E. manages the Technical Support Group in the Hazardous Waste Cleanup Section of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. The Technical Support Group provides review and approval of site assessment plans, pilot test workplans, remedial action plans, and other documents related to sites in the Drycleaning Solvent Cleanup Program, State-funded cleanups, and Superfund cleanups in Florida. Mr. Cowdery holds B.S. degrees in Biological Sciences and Chemical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Cowdery was a Senior Engineer at LFR Levine Fricke, where his primary focus was the design and operation of remedial systems for sites contaminated with chlorinated solvents, including cosolvent flushing, oxidation with potassium permanganate, large diameter auger excavation, and in-situ chemical oxidation of DNAPL PCE using co-oxidation (a proprietary blend of cosolvent with permanganate).
