Steve Faryan

Mr. Faryan has been an On-Scene Coordinator with the U.S. EPA’s Emergency Response Branch for 16 years. Prior to that Mr. Faryan worked with Jacobs Engineering as a Project Manager under the Technical Assistance Contract for U.S. EPA. Previous experience includes conducting field and lab work pertaining to PCB treatment and destruction with Acurex Corporation. As an On-Scene Coordinator, Mr. Faryan has completed over 30 Superfund Removal Actions including the Lockformer Removal Action and he was the Project Manager for the Ellsworth Industrial Park Investigation in Downers Grove, Illinois. Mr. Faryan has a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Science from Southern Illinois University. Additional experience includes emergency response efforts at chemical and oil releases and terrorism response.
Mr. Faryan also presents Emergency Response Training to State Agencies, local Fire Departments and Indian Tribes and is a frequent guest instructor at the Illinois Fire Service Institute.
